Hiring Salary Range: $63,011-$82,909 Full Salary Range: $63,011 - $112,756 Annually
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Tuesday Schedule; 8:00 Am - 5:00 Pm.
Primary Duties/Brief Description Of Work:
The GDOT Financial Analyst Will Provide Financial Support To The Department Through Analysis, Monitoring, And Reporting On Accounts, Expenditures, Revenues, Contracts, Purchase Orders, Inventories, And Grants. Researches And Identifies Processes For Implementation To Comply With Accounting Standards And Financial Requirements. Assists With The Preparation Of The Department's Annual Budget. Supervises Transportation HR Positions And Safety Administrator. The Position Will Assist In Generating Check Orders To Process Various Contract Payments, Employee Reimbursements, And Purchase Order Finalization.
This Job Is Exempt And Is Not Subject To The Overtime Provisions Of The Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree With 4-6 Years Of Experience In Accounting, Budget, Finance, Statistics, Or A Closely Related Field
“OR” Associate’s Degree With 6-8 Years Of Experience In Accounting, Budget, Finance, Statistics, Or A Closely Related Field
Experience Using Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Etc.)
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In Accounting, Business, Public Administration, Or A Closely Related Field
4+ Years Of Experience In Local Government Budget Or Finance
Experience With Local, State, And Federal HR Laws And Regulations
